CCSID 279 – French, DP94 – EBCDIC/4F
General information
- Explanation
- This is the French DP94 set. The 1984 CECP (code page 1081) and 1986 CECP (code page 297) are not strictly speaking upwards-compatible, since they move the backtick (apparently due to the 1982 edition of NF Z 62010 changing the backtick to a micro sign). However, the AFP name T1GDP279 used for CCSID 1081 clearly marks it as being the 1984 CECP form of code page 279.

CCSID 424 – Hebrew – EBCDIC/5A
General information
- Explanation
IBM notes that this is GCSGID 941/2 with CPGID 424/2; i.e. it is "version 2" of code page 424. It is possible that CCSID 1083 might be the "version 1" or "version 0" (CCSID 1082 might also be the "version 0"), considering that the differences between CCSIDs 1083 and 424 somewhat resemble the changes between "version 0" and "version 1" CECPs, and that CCSIDs 1082 and 1083 lie within the 1070–1085 range otherwise used solely for retronyms for "version 0" CECPs.
In all cases, CCSID 4520 is the base DP set (not strictly DP94, since the Hebrew letters are additional to the 94 characters).
