CCSID 803 – Hebrew Set A (old code) – EBCDIC/5A
General information
- Explanation
- This is a DP94 or WP96 set supporting the Hebrew alphabet along with unicameral Basic Latin (as opposed to CCSID 39, which supports bicameral Basic Latin but no Hebrew letters). For data processing use, this was superseded by CCSID 4520, which retains the lowercase Basic Latin letters in their usual locations, and adds Hebrew letters outside of the DP94 ranges.

CCSID 830 – Math Format? – EBCDIC?
I have only been able to obtain limited information about this encoding; see unknown information.
Presumably, this is closely related to CCSID 2080, considering the latter's resource name T1M00830 (compare T1M00829 for CCSID 829).

CCSID 834 (w/o UDCs) – Korean Host Double-Byte including 653 host unique characters, excluding 1880 UDC – EBCDIC DBCS
This is a CCSID which may be implemented by ICU, AFP, FreeDOS or some other package in practice, but does not correspond exactly to any IBM-documented CCSID. The nomenclature "CCSID 834 (w/o UDCs)" is assigned for the purposes of this site, and has no broader official status.

CCSID 837 (Euro) – S-Ch Host Double-Byte including 1880 UDC and Euro – EBCDIC DBCS
This is a CCSID which may be implemented by ICU, AFP, FreeDOS or some other package in practice, but does not correspond exactly to any IBM-documented CCSID. The nomenclature "CCSID 837 (Euro)" is assigned for the purposes of this site, and has no broader official status.
General information
- Explanation
- The AFP data for T10837U lists GCSGID 1021, and includes the contents of GCSGID 937 plus the Euro sign; this reference to GCSGID 1021 is incorrect since GCSGID 1021 omits both user-defined characters and level-2 hanzi.

CCSID 880 (Linux Console) – Old Russian Cyrillic, 8-Bit – MS Windows (ISO 8 variant)
This is a CCSID which may be implemented by ICU, AFP, FreeDOS or some other package in practice, but does not correspond exactly to any IBM-documented CCSID. The nomenclature "CCSID 880 (Linux Console)" is assigned for the purposes of this site, and has no broader official status.

CCSID 893 (Euro) – OCR-B plus 3 chars (alt-m, Euro, and vert line) – EBCDIC/4F
This is a CCSID which may be implemented by ICU, AFP, FreeDOS or some other package in practice, but does not correspond exactly to any IBM-documented CCSID. The nomenclature "CCSID 893 (Euro)" is assigned for the purposes of this site, and has no broader official status.
General information
- Explanation
- This is the maximal set of CPGID 893 (CCSID 893 is no longer maximal). It is one of two layouts of GCSGID 1502, the other being an expanded revision of CPGID 877. Sadly, I only have a source for the pre-expansion CPGID 877 (that is, CCSID 877).

CCSID 905 (maximal) – Turkey Latin 3 Multilingual with middle dot (replaced by Latin 5) – EBCDIC/4F
This is a CCSID which may be implemented by ICU, AFP, FreeDOS or some other package in practice, but does not correspond exactly to any IBM-documented CCSID. The nomenclature "CCSID 905 (maximal)" is assigned for the purposes of this site, and has no broader official status.

CCSID 949 (ICU) – IBM KS Code - PC Data Mixed including 653 IBM Selected, 1227 UDC – PCMB
This is a CCSID which may be implemented by ICU, AFP, FreeDOS or some other package in practice, but does not correspond exactly to any IBM-documented CCSID. The nomenclature "CCSID 949 (ICU)" is assigned for the purposes of this site, and has no broader official status.
General information
- Explanation
- This is a variant of CCSID 949 implemented by (at least) ICU, which sacrifices some of the UDCs to support all non-UDC characters from CCSID 926; its 'proper' CCSID (if any) is unknown to me. For the Windows code page 949, which differs for the non-KS-Wansung characters, see CCSIDs 1261 and 1363.

CCSID 965 – T-Chinese 2022 TCP ASCII CNS 11643 plane 1 CNS 11643 plane 2 – TCP, SO/SI
General information
- Explanation
- IBM lists this with ESID 5404; unless I fundamentally misunderstand the difference between 5404 and 5409, this would imply that it would use G1 designation escapes for G0 designation (in violation of ISO 2022, and for no clear motivation). I am assuming that its ESID listed by IBM was in error, and should be 5409. See here for a chart explorer view using ESID 5404 (per nominal definition), for comparison. In whatever case, pay attention to the use of private-use F-bytes
0 and 1, rather than the standard G and H.

CCSID 965 (RFC 1922) – T-Chinese 2022-CN TCP ASCII CNS 11643 plane 1 CNS 11643 plane 2 (RFC1922 subset using SO/SI/SS2) – TCP, SO/SI/SS2/SS3
This is a CCSID which may be implemented by ICU, AFP, FreeDOS or some other package in practice, but does not correspond exactly to any IBM-documented CCSID. The nomenclature "CCSID 965 (RFC 1922)" is assigned for the purposes of this site, and has no broader official status.
General information
- Explanation
- This is attested as row 14 in the TCP section of the ACRI table. It encodes the same sets as CCSID 965 but using standard switching sequences; I am unaware of what CCSID it has officially, if any.
