CCSID 13235 (common subset) – T-Chinese DBCS-PC for Big-5, IBM/Microsoft common subset – IBM-PC DBCS

This is a CCSID which may be implemented by ICU, AFP, FreeDOS or some other package in practice, but does not correspond exactly to any IBM-documented CCSID. The nomenclature "CCSID 13235 (common subset)" is assigned for the purposes of this site, and has no broader official status.

General information

Explanation
The common DBCS subset of IBM Big5 and Microsoft Big5 is CCSID 13235 minus the infrequently used control pictures. This is perhaps the true "de facto Big5". It is included here for convenience in comparing common subsets between encodings.
