General information
- Explanation
- This is the CECP CCSID for CPGID 37; the base set (i.e. the original version of code page 37 from before it was expanded to a CECP) is numbered CCSID 8229 in the CCSID system. More specifically, this is the "version 1" CECP ("code page 37/1"); for code page 37/0, see CCSID 1070, and for code page 37/2, see CCSID 37-2.

CCSID 37-2 (SHARE) – Host Code Page English-US C370 CECP V2 – EBCDIC/5A
This is a CCSID which may be implemented by ICU, AFP, FreeDOS or some other package in practice, but does not correspond exactly to any IBM-documented CCSID. The nomenclature "CCSID 37-2 (SHARE)" is assigned for the purposes of this site, and has no broader official status.
General information
- Explanation
- Sometimes called SHARE Code Page 37-2, this is a hybrid of CCSID 37 and CCSID 1047 apparently used with APL (i.e. along with CCSID 310 as its single-shift Graphic Escape set). It is described in the IBM xlate documentation as 1047 with not sign and caret swapped (and not, as Wikipedia previously depicted, 37 with that swap). This tabulation of code pages 37-2 and 310 concurs with the xlate documentation. Another table which someöne posted here, apparently sourced from the TN3270 Plus terminal emulator, likewise appears to agree, in spite of mojibake making its accented uppercase letters unrecoverable (it has been encoded as UTF-8, then decoded as ISO-8859-15, then had U+00A0s replaced by U+0020s, then had C1 control codes stripped, then been encoded as UTF-8 again).

CCSID 38 – US - ASCII Character Set – EBCDIC/4F
General information
- Explanation
- This is the EBCDIC DP94 for the ASCII repertoire. Since all revisions of the CECP created from this DP94 disunify the solid and broken vertical bar, however, the mapping of the ASCII bar in this code page (0x6A) differs from that in the CECPs (0xBB). See CCSID 8448 and the identical CCSID 53748 for the ASCII subset of said CECPs, which consequently deviates slightly from the allocated byte ranges common to all DP94 base sets.

CCSID 40 – United Kingdom, 86-Character, 0x5A exclamation – EBCDIC/5A
General information
- Explanation
- This has the same repertoire as CCSID 23, but re-arranges a few characters, such that all characters that are included in both CCSID 40 and CCSID 4381 are encoded at the same locations in both. The GCSGID number is not known to me, although it is likely to be somewhere between 61 and 67 exclusive (GCSGID 63 is a plausible educated guess).

General information
- Explanation
- This DOS code page number is apparently supported by some AST Research systems; the code page itself also apparently corresponds to some divergent implementations of code page 853. It amounts to a hybrid of CCSID 853 and CCSID 857, capable of legibly displaying Turkish text encoded in either, as well as Maltese (but not Esperanto) text encoded in code page 853. IBM's position on this code page number is unconfirmed.
